Lowestoft

Day 5:

We had decided to visit Lowerstoft today, unfortunately the weather was very overcast. It has been some years since I have visited this town. It used to be a big fishing port with a very large freezing and packing plant owned by Birds Eye, whilst the they still have a very large operation the fishing industry is much smaller. Now it seems that the town is much more geared to the tourist industry.

It may just have been the time of day or the tides but looking into the harbour there were very few craft bringing their catch to market.

I met this local character who was with a few of his mates, seeing my camera he volinteered his services as a model, how could I refuse. What a lovely guy.
