This is my
fourth year attending this rally. East Anglian Traction Engine Society revived
the Crank Up rally formally held at Audley End. The steam rally was started at
Shire Hill in Saffron Walden, around 1970.

Saffron Walden Crank Up
Saffron Walden Crank Up steam rally is now an annual event. This is my second year at the Crank Up event, unfortunately the weather on Saturday was not good, by 11 am it had started to rain. The weekend has been forecast to be poor with rain both days. However, there was a good turnout of visitors and a large number of exhibitors, lots of working steam engines & farm machinery. A great family day out.
