Trees

A few shots from my walks in Hatfield Forest. Hatfield is an ancient woodland and has many interesting trees, I never tire of photographing these trees as the seasons go by.

A fogy day in Hatfield Forest

I went out today for my exercise walk in the forest. The ground is now firming up nicely. It amazes me how quickly the ground is drying out. Only a week ago my walk round the forest was more like a slide than a walk, water & mud everywhere. I recently bought a pair of walking poles, they certainly allowed me to walk efficiently & with safety.

Winter at Hatfield Forest

A few shots from my recent visits to the forest. Whilst we have been locked down, we have been taking our exercise in the forest which is 4 miles from my home postcode to the woodland postcode.  The grounds of the woodland have become swamped due to the amount of rain we have had this winter. However, walking here is much better & safer than walking the streets. I love this place, I can walk here and not see another soul, so it is safe.

Forest Walk

Saturday was dry and sunny, so I had my usual walk through Hatfield Forest. During these restricted times of Covid this has become my regular place to take exercise.
