Essex & Herts Air Ambulance G-EHEM

I was on my way to Finchingfield, halfway between Elsenham & Thaxted the traffic was stationary, and I could see that the air ambulance was getting ready to take off. I took these few shots just as it lifted.

G-EHEM is a McD-D Helicopters MD-900

“Since fundraising began in 1997, Essex & Herts Air Ambulance has flown over 20,000 missions, and is deployed, on average, six times per day. The helicopters and rapid response vehicles (RRV) are based at Earls Colne Airfield and North Weald Airfield”

East Anglian air ambulance

Today the East Anglian air ambulance had to land on the Northolt Av Play area, Bishop’s Stortford to bring medical assistance to one of the local residents. I saw the helicopter coming in to land so I went to the park soon after it had landed and took these shots.
