Great Chishill Windmill Cambridgeshire

A few shots taken on a sunny day of this recently restored windmill. It is unique as the only postmill with a fantail left in England. 06, September 2020 See the full details below.

Great Chishill Windmill.

My second day out after Covid-19 lockdown, carefully maintaining social distance rules.
We took a short run through the back roads to Royston. I spent a sometime taking a few shots of Great Chishill Windmill

First day out after full lockdown.

Today was our first day out from lockdown apart from a few walks round the wood behind my house. We took a drive through the countryside to Thaxted & onto Finchingfield. I was able to take a few shots along the way, just postcard images but I just enjoyed the freedom with my camera.

Thaxted Windmill

Taken in very strong and unforgiving light.

One good thing about a clear blue-sky and strong light is it made me clean my sensor.

Blakeney point harbour

Day 2:
We had popped into Blakeney on our first day but it was late and the light was not very good so we revisited on day two this very popular place. It is a very lovely walk but you need to have good footwear. It is a very popular place for both artists and photographers and is always worth a visit.

 Cley Windmill

On the way to eat we stopped of at this old windmill. Norfolk is known for it's windmills and wind pumps, this is a fine example.
