Hedingham

This is my second post from my visit to Hedingham. I have visited the Castle several times to attend the different events that they run in the grounds but this was the first occasion I walked around the estate. With the castle as a backdrop there are so many wonderful places to picnic or just enjoy the gardens & the views.

The inside of the Keep is fully open to the public and is well worth a visit.

Jousting Castle Hedingham

Bank Holiday Sunday the Knights of Royal England presented their Jousting tournament at Castle Hedingham.

Hedingham Castle

On Sunday the 17^th the Clash of Knight’s Triathlon took place. The “Historia Normannis” are a 12^th century re-enactment group that were raising money for the Samaritans, they were holding a fun day with friendly competition at Castle Hedingham. The weather was bright but a little cold so there was a reasonable turnout to see this group of enthusiasts recreate a day of 12^th century combat in the grounds of this historic castle.
