“This aircraft XH648
was delivered to RAF Honington in 1959 as a Victor B1 Electronic
countermeasures (radar jamming) equipment was added 1960. This made it a B1A.
After service at RAF Cottesmore & RAF Honington, it was converted to an
air-refueling tanker, K1A in 1965. It then served at RAF Marham unit the
mid-1970s. It was acquired by the IWM and flew to Duxford in 1976.” I have
been following the rebuild of this aircraft to become an exhibit for Duxford,
since the 1st of November 2016 when it was partially dismantled
out on the apron & then moved into the workshop. See my first blog here
