Gatwick Aviation Museum


A few shots of some of the exhibits from the Gatwick Aviation Museum from my visit back in August. This is a very friendly museum, run by a band of very helpful & knowledgeable volunteers. A great family day out. 


de Havilland Sea Vixen TT.8



Hawker Harrier G.R.3 Harrier, the world’s first Vertical Take Off and Landing jet aircraft to enter military service. The first Harrier flew on the 31st of August 1966.



English Electric Lightning F53. This version was sold to both Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.



Hawker Sea Hawk F.B.6 The first variant of the Sea Hawk (F 1) designated as the Hawker P1040 first flew on the 3rd of September 1948.


Blackburn Buccaneer S1 The “Buccaneer’ first flew on the 30th of April 1958.
