Hedingham Castle Jousting & Falconry

The summer bank holiday weekend weather forecast promised some very wet weather, the best of the days was the Sunday, so Carol and I decided to pay a visit to see the jousting held at Hedingham Castle. It was a brilliant day out, the weather played it’s part giving us a very sunny day. The jousting performed by The Knights of Royal England gave us an excellent performance, their horsemanship was fantastic, it would make a good Olympic event. All in all this was an excellent family event involving the children in the pre-performance then the whole family being encouraged to take sides cheering on the blue or the red team, everyone enjoyed the day.

A display of birds of prey by the Lavenham Falconry Centre was part of the day.
