Theydon Bois Golf Club

I wanted to get a few shots of the autumn colours before the November storms change the landscape. I decided to use golf as a subject to give the session a focal point to work with. Trees make a really good background but for me I need a focal point to put in front. The Golf Course is ideally located in the midst of Epping Forest. The course has an undulating & interesting landscape.

The club was very welcoming, after making sure that I knew and understood the safety rules I was allowed to walk the course with my camera.

River Lee

A few shots from a trip on the River Lee, run by the Lee & Stort Boat Co. We boarded the boat at Ware and it takes about about 90 minutes to arrive at Hertford. We had about 40 minutes before the return journey. A great way to spend a sunny autumn afternoon.

Wimpole Hall Event

Last weekend The National Trust held their event “Wimpole at War 2015”, a 40s re-enactment event. The “Waterbeach Brass” played in the entrance to Wimpole. It was very difficult to take any really good shots of the brass band’s individual members due to the very restricted space so most of my shots were cluttered however I was able to get a few shots of their conductor Andrew Kershaw at work.

Andrew Kershaw

One of the actors was playing Winston Churchill I was able to take a few shots in front of the hall.
