Pasque Flowers Royston

Carol and I took a walk out to Royston to see the Pasque flowers. This year’s display seems a little stunted probably due to the colder weather. Whilst I was shooting the flowers I came upon an Emperor moth, it was behaving in a very sluggish way again maybe the cold was not to it’s liking.

Springtime at Hatfield Forest

Today the weather was perfect for a great walk with my camera. Everything is coming back to life.

A fogy day in Hatfield Forest

I went out today for my exercise walk in the forest. The ground is now firming up nicely. It amazes me how quickly the ground is drying out. Only a week ago my walk round the forest was more like a slide than a walk, water & mud everywhere. I recently bought a pair of walking poles, they certainly allowed me to walk efficiently & with safety.

Winter and early Spring

A few shots from my recent visits to Hatfield Forest. Whilst we have been in this last lockdown Carol and I have been walking the forest three times a week.  I always take my camera with me but whilst I find plenty of shots in different light and weather conditions, in reality they are very similar to other work I have done so I don’t put them on my blog. Roll on getting back to the new normal, whatever that is going to be.

Here are a few shots taken in the last few weeks.

Walk in the Woods

Today was cold and crisp but the light was beautiful, ideal for shooting into the light.
