Butterflies at Hatfield Forest

Since lockdown has curtailed my landscape & aviation photography I have become interested in taking shots of butterflies. I have been shooting lots of Peacock Butterflies on my Buddleia bush, problem is that there are very few, if any other species visiting my garden. So today whilst taking a walk in Hatfield forest I spent some time shooting whatever I could find.

Duxford Low Key.

Just before lockdown for Covid-19 I made my last visit to Duxford. I am a member and normally I would be a frequent visitor, I can’t wait to get back with my camera.

I have been playing with lowkey shots, here are just a few examples.

Great Chishill Windmill.

My second day out after Covid-19 lockdown, carefully maintaining social distance rules.
We took a short run through the back roads to Royston. I spent a sometime taking a few shots of Great Chishill Windmill

First day out after full lockdown.

Today was our first day out from lockdown apart from a few walks round the wood behind my house. We took a drive through the countryside to Thaxted & onto Finchingfield. I was able to take a few shots along the way, just postcard images but I just enjoyed the freedom with my camera.
