Robinson College University of Cambridge

The college has opened it’s gardens to the public as part of the NGS open gardens scheme. Today was very bright, not a cloud in the sky so, lots of shadows everywhere. I will return later in the year when the gardens are in full bloom.

The chapel has a beautiful stained glass window, unfortunately I did not have my tripod with me so, something else for next time.

East & West Mersea

We took a run out to East & West Mersea. With clear blue skies & a reasonable temperature it feels like the first day of spring but that is still over a month away.

Walkern Hall Gardens Stevenage

 Open Gardens Day.

“Walkern Hall is essentially a winter woodland garden. Set in 8 acres, the carpet of snowdrops and aconites is a constant source of wonder in Jan/Feb. This medieval hunting park is known more for its established trees such as the tulip trees and a magnificent London plane tree which dominates the garden. Following on in March and April is a stunning display of daffodils and other spring bulbs.”
