West Mersea

Tuesday’s weather was just right for a photographic trip to the seaside so I grab a packed lunch and set off to Mersea Island, one of the best places in Essex to be able to get a reasonable sunset. Problem was  the sunset just did not play it's part. Oh well I will get to do it all over again the next time the tide, weather and my free time come together.

My visit was to recce the area for sunrise & sunset shots, some views are suitable for sunrise but sunsets are not so good.

Southend & Leigh on Sea

Yesterday I took a trip to Southend on Sea to try out a new Lee Big Stopper filter I recently purchased. As the weather forecast suggested that we should have a reasonable sunset this would be a good opportunity to have a play and try out this new filter. 

The following shots are using the Big Stopper filter.

Finally on my way out in the morning I came upon this guy which struck me as a little unusual. I guess the reception in the area must be very poor :)
