Cambridge American Cemetery and Memorial
On my way home I visited the WW2 American monument, I had
hoped to get some good sunset images but unfortunately the sun was not in a good position and I was too late to
get the shots I wanted.
I looked up this airman’s war record and found the
story of his tragic death one month before VE Day. It can be seen here & here. He died the same day I was born.
