High Easter Point to Point

Saturday 6^th we paid a visit to the Essex High Easter Point to Point meeting, a fine weather day for a change.

I took a trip with a fellow club member on Thursday 4^th to London to do some street photography. Unfortunately the weather was very cold and wet all day but we managed to find a few subjects to point our cameras at.

We started visiting some music shops around Tottenham Court Road.

Burnham Market Horse Trials

I am a little late in posting my weekend photos, due to pressure of work. Unfortunately I was only able to get out the one day.

On Saturday 30^th a friend and I spent the day at the horse trials in Norfolk. This is my fourth annual visit and although it was very cold with a few snow showers generally we had reasonable conditions.

Here are a few of my shots of the day there will be some better ones to follow, work permitting.

Colchester Zoo

I paid a visit to Colchester Zoo yesterday, Thursday 21^st with a friend of mine from my camera club. Having had a lay-off for a few weeks it was good to get out and take a few shots even though zoos are not my most favourite places. The weather started off reasonably well even though it was very cold but it soon developed into a reasonably grey day. When we arrived we found that most of the animals were having a lay in and even if you could see them they were very lethargic and not very interested in posing for our cameras. However after a while they started to get a little interested in food with some exercise.

Focus Stacking in Photoshop

Today I decided to have a go at focus stacking using Photoshop CS5, this is my first attempt at this technique and whilst it’s not perfect I have now worked out the method so next time I should get it right.
