Hedingham Castle

May Bank Holiday Monday, I visited  Hedingham Castle, they were holding a Medieval Battle & May Fair. The weather started very bright, probably the best day of the weekend but the afternoon soon became overcast with some rain, lots of opportunities to photograph the medieval, actors both inside & out. All in all it turned out to be a really good family day out.

May Day at Audley End

May Day Saturday, I took a trip out to the local English Heritage house and gardens, Audley End they were staging a Victorian re-enactment event.

The weather has been very poor for the last few weeks so the turnout was exceptionally low although the weather today has been dry, cold & overcast. My first shot shows the general feeling of the day but once we got going for those of us that made the effort it was a good event.

Colne Valley Railway

I paid a visit to the Colne Valley Railway today they had a display of vintage cars along with their usual railway attractions.  The weather was bright but we had a few showers throughout the day.

Paxton Pits Nature Reserve

I took a trip to Paxton Pits Nature Reserve today with Phil Miles, he was introducing me to bird photography. The day was just perfect a bright start to the morning with light cumulus cover, the afternoon was slightly more cloudy but still very good for photography.
