Point-To-Point High Easter Essex

 

I paid a visit to the Essex Point-To-Point today. The weather was very good with a little cloud cover.

East Anglian air ambulance

Today the East Anglian air ambulance had to land on the Northolt Av Play area, Bishop’s Stortford to bring medical assistance to one of the local residents. I saw the helicopter coming in to land so I went to the park soon after it had landed and took these shots.

Fenland Grass Track Racing Club

Fenland Grass Track Huntingdon: On Easter Saturday Carol and I went to a see the grass track racing. It was cold & the day started very overcast. Once we got going there was some good racing. A number of the CCC members atended this meeting.

Burnham Market Horse Trials

Good Friday meeting at Burnham Market International Norfolk. The day started well but quickly clouded over, later in the day we had rain. However we had lots of good opportunities to get some good photos.

Walk 2: Westminster to Chelsea

Sunday the 1st of April: Gary and I decided to do the second leg of our walk along the South Bank of the upper Thames. So far we have already walked from Tower Bridge to Westminster, today we continue going west. We will walk as far as we can within the day then that becomes a start point for the next walk. Hopefully by the end of the summer we will have gone as far as we can within the reach of the London underground system, once we get to the end of the network we will have to revue our ability to go further within the day.

The day was very bright, not a cloud in the sky but at least it was dry. It was not good light for our photography, lots of contrast making our pictures very lifeless.

The MI6 building is truly a fantastic piece of architecture almost a one off, I will return at a better time of day to get the evening light. I took loads of shots just to find the best angles.

The Peace Pagoda is located in the middle of Battersea Park it was a gift to London from a Japanese Buddhist Order in 1985
