It was a very foggy morning but my booking to enter the forest was just before midday so by the time I was allowed into the forest the best of the conditions had evaporated.

Whilst I was on my walk through the forest, I came upon these two guys that had met up to enjoy each other’s company and share their music. Lockdown is making us all seek out our enjoyment along with the company of others where we can.
The weather yesterday was superb so, my walk was very enjoyable. The size of Hatfield Forest means that I still have a lot of areas to explore. The wood joins a number of long distance footpaths and I will be exploring these as the winter progresses. The best known is the Flitch Way Cycle Route.

Hatfield Forest on a bright autumn day. I am attracted to these very old trees. Each tree shows the history of this ancient forest. It is a great forest and is keeping me sane in these very tough times.
