Duxford Low-Key

I had another go at my low-key shots in the Duxford hanger. This is the result, it seems to be going down well with the aviation FB groups.

Duxford Battle of Britain tribute.

This is a tribute to the pilots of the Battle of Britain, the guys that flew both the Spitfires & the Hurricanes. This plaque can be seen in the entrance to hanger 4, the Battle of Britain Hanger, at Duxford. It is a miniature of the centre art of the main tribute that can be seen on the Thames Embankment, the Battle of Britain Memorial. There were a number of other types of aircraft that took part, like the: Defiant, Martlet, Gladiator, Fulmar.

Duxford Flying

A few more shots from my last visit to Duxford on 7/02/2020

Whilst I was on my last visit to Duxford two Apache helicopters dropped in to refuel and do a couple of circuits. "The Agusta Westland Apache is a licence-built version of the Boeing AH-64D Apache Longbow attack helicopter. Designed & supplied as kits by Boeing then assembled by Westland Helicopters for the British Army Air Corps"

Duxford

Last Friday, 07/02/2020 I visited IWM Duxford for an hour or two. I had an idea to do some low key images. The first three images are the results. Unfortunately the image of the Tornado did not workout, I failed to pay attention to the reflections, something for my next visit.

Marks Hall Arboretum.

Two recent visits to Marks Hall Arboretum. A few shots of their very visitor friendly peacocks & an Egyptian Goose.

The beautiful iridescent colours of the Peacock make great abstract images.

This Egyptian Goose allowed me very close, it took very little notice of me.
