Fleet Air Arm Museum

I spent two days last week with some friends from my camera club visiting two air museums. These next shots are from our visit to Yeovilton .

This is one of the very best aircraft museums I have visited. The layout gives plenty of space to each exhibit with good explanations of the aircraft’s part in the story of military aviation at sea. The Carrier Experience is very well done, so much so it had me looking both ways when I crossed the active runway to make sure it was clear.

Sky Garden 20 Fenchurch St

This is the last of the three blogs from yesterday's day out with my daughter Nina.

Our last place was the Sky Garden 20 Fenchurch Street also known as the Walkie Talkie. By the time we had traveled by taxi we had missed our timed slot to go up but we were very fortunate that they let us enter anyway. This is a spectacular new part of London’s growing and beautiful skyline. 37 floors up it has a commanding 360 degree view of London and the Thames. Unfortunately due to the weather the view was limited by an excessive amount of UV in the atmosphere. The other problem is the reflections in the glass, unfortunately my polariser did not help this time. Next time I go I will be better prepared & I am sure I will be able to improve on today’s images.  However this was a spectacular end of the day out with my daughter. Thank you Nina.
