One of my favourite day trips is to Old Leigh, a great afternoon out.  With it's fishing boats, soaring seagulls, stony beaches and a great social gathering it makes for a very worthwhile photographic outing.

RHS Hyde Hall

A few shots from today's visit to the RHS gardens Hyde Hall located just outside Chelmsford 

I liked the shapes of the trunks of these trees but I did not want to just produce a record shot like my first example so I did some slow speed movement shots which I much prefer.

Audley End Gardens

I spent a happy hour or so with my wife visiting the gardens at Audley End last Thursday 2^nd of October in time to catch the last of the summer blooms. As the summer weather is due to end this weekend with a sharp drop in temperature I expect this will be the last we will see of them until next year.
