As a member of Duxford, winter is a good time to
pay a mid-week visit. You get to see all sorts of interesting things, this is
when the IWM do their housekeeping. Moving & cleaning aircraft, sorting out
the displays. This is the time of year that aircraft are being overhauled with
some major work being done. It’s a good time to talk to the staff and find out
what will be happening over the next few weeks. The big bonus is you get a lot
more freedom as there is only a few other visitors, so it is easier to take get
some good shots.
