Steam Rally Crank Up. I spent a very
enjoyable afternoon at the local steam rally held just outside Newport. This
was my first time at this show, I must say I was very impressed, lots of vintage
cars as well as the steam engines and vehicles. I will certainly have this on
my calendar for next year.
Below: Stanley steam car, imported from the west coast of the USA to a Dutch museum in 1969. Purchased by present owner in 1982 undergoing a seven year restoration with a complete new boiler, and rebuilt engine.
